Abigail, a seventeen year old girl, needed something more to do to occupy her time, more than making quilts, and cleaning, and the many other things that a woman would occupy her time with in the late 1600’s. This, along with lack of freedom due to the Puritan way, Abigail looked for more exciting things to do with her time. Abigail had heard of people being accused of witchcraft, and did not quite fully understand the consequences involved with crying witchcraft. But Abigail did have knowledge in the art of witchcraft. Due to her sufficient knowledge of witchcraft, she knew exactly who to accuse, and how to act in front priest and more importantly, judges. Not all the people in Salem got along. Abigail did not like all the people in Salem, either. The people in the town would call her out, talk of her as a harlot, accuse her of trying to lay with married men. Abigail knew of this talk, and knew of a way to rid herself of all this talk. Abigail would find out the names of all the people that did not like her, and accuse them all as witches. Her plan could work, if she did it right and took her time. Abigail just wanted all of her competition out of the way. Abigail was in love with John Proctor. John was a married man, with three children. Abigail had once used her young, voluptuous body to gain favor with John. But John was a smart man, and he knew of the consequences involved with lying with Abigail. So John decided to tell Abigail that they never had anything and that there would never be anything between the two of them. John was for sure that he was in love with his wife, and did not want to lose her over anything, nor did he want to be married to a seventeen year old girl. Abigail did not take this news lightl...
