...as a test that you are to make the best of. Many teenagers are faced with decisions described in this verse which you can relate to peer-pressure or experimenting with the good and the bad. Many adolescents are faced with such “Forks Stuck in the road” in the form of decisions about sex, drugs, and alcohol. To often the wrong decisions are made but only time will teach your mistakes. You are to make the best of the test and not too question why, for your decisions are not to be questioned but to be learned from over time. So many adolescents are forced to learn from there mistakes due to their stubbornness towards adults who have lived and learned. In the Chorus they explain that life is unpredictable but, life will always fall into place. The theme of the song is then played emphasizing that you should live life to the fullest and that “I hope you had the time if your life”. In the second verse they take the vantage point of looking back on the times that they had, “So take the photographs/ and still frames in your mind/ hang it on a shelf/ in good health and good time/ tattoos of memories”. It describes looking back on your adolescent times when you have in fact crossed the line into adult hood and have to take the memories and put them aside and live them only through mental images and pictures on your shelf.
