Another World
...ppened if any. The nearest mall may be an hour away and most of the locals spend their leisure time hunting, fishing or drinking. There aren't a lot of jobs available because most of the stores are mom and pop operations. It's a whole different world, especially for those who move from the city to the country and vise versa. There are many things to do but it's not the same kind of actions that happen in the city. A city environment consists of streetlights on every comer. The streets are crowded. There are plenty of things to do like shopping and going to clubs. There are also sports arenas and movie theatres everywhere. Everything is right in ones backyard. There are large numbers of people living there; as a result, there is a higher crime rate. There is a larger police force and as a result, the wailing of various sirens continues all day and into the night. The entire 6:00pm news consists of crimes that happened overnight and they can't possibly cover them all. There isn't much nature except an occasional park, or someone's dog or cat and maybe a bird every now and then. A city environment is economically wealthier and more technologically advanced therefore, there are more jobs. There is a greater risk of traffic jams especially at rush hour - which is usually around 5:00pm or so. Most young people prefer to live here. Again, it's an entirely different world for those who move from the country to the city and vice versa. If a person wants to live in the city they have to sacrifice peace and quiet. They may have railroad tracks right in their backyard while in the country, there aren't that many.Traffic may travel up and down their road all night long and have them looking out their window every five minutes, where in the country, they might not see traffic for hours.They may also have to live in an apartment with people on all four sides, or in a house with another one right on top of them, whereas in the country, housing is more spread out.
