A Significant Person In My LIfe
...to start making smart choices. I was always negative about everything, never sure if I would make it, always saying to myself that “I should try harder” but thought to myself ‘what would that do?’. Though, with my aunt by my side it changed the way I thought of things and decided to started thinking positive. One of the smart choices I made after changing was to be more dedicated to school and not let anything bring me down. If I was going to be someone sucessful in life I needed to start being more focused and less distracted. On the other hand, I cannot just stop thinking about how would it have been if I had not taken her advice or have her as an influence in my life. I can only wonder where I would have been had it not been for my Aunt’s many courageous words. Sometimes I think I might of ended up dropping out of school or maybe ended up pregnant or God only knows what else. On a brighter note, because of her, I have the potential to excel in school, since it was her idea that my mother and I move to a different community where the environment is better. Moving from Miami to Orlando would not only mean a better environment but it would also mean, me being closer to the one person that has such great influence on me. This enabled me to continue with my education and break down the wall that might of separated me and that step closer to becoming someone successful in life. Prior to the person I use to be, every time I did something wrong I would always come up with an alternative reason to why I did those things, which never really worked.
