The Gamble That Paid Off
...ver went to school because they could never afford paying school fees. One day after the father completed his job and he got paid his ten rand, of that he set a side just two rand fifty, he never knew what he was going to do with it. As he was walking from work he past a shop that had a yellow sign on the wall saying National Lottery, todays draw forty million rand, he went inside the shop to ask an assistant what that meant because he could not understand english. The assistant replied you could win forty million rand if you take a ticket from as little a two-rand fifty, so he took a ticket and was told that he must come back to the shop the next day to check if he is a winner. So he put the ticket into to his empty wallet and into his pocket and made sure he doesn't lose it because it could change his whole life around. The next day he goes back to the shop just as his assistant said carefully with his hand in his pocket, he hands to the ticket to the assistant, he checks the numbers and with a great big smile...
