should there be school uniforms
... school uniform, but now they also have to buy the students clothes to wear after school. Now those South Pole jogging pants that cost $80 can only be worn after school. That means that the parents are paying close to twice as much money for clothes, because they must buy outfits for school and then go and buy outfits for after school and on the weekend. I would not be seen in the school uniform whenever I was not there. While cost is one of the reasons for uniforms easy to identify and would reduce violence. Emily Sweeney quouted Basim Usmani saying, '"Instead of addressing the real reasons, like overworked teachers and lack of guidance"'(3). They say that with school uniforms that the students can be easily identified. This is true, but there are a couple of problems with the students being easily identified. The first thing is that the students are easily identified outside of school also. If the school is a big school with several wealthy students, then it is easy to identify those students right after school and kidnapping is more likely to happen.
