...shower. I got dressed and was on my way in the car with four friends to go to Jack’s little brother’s surprise birthday party. As soon as I arrived there, the first person I asked for was my best friend, Jack, but no one seemed to know where he was. I looked all over the house and the yard and finally found him sitting down in the garage by himself. He looked sick and lonely, so I ran to him tried to find out what was going on. He instead looked at me and said to get out of his face then walked away. I was shocked because I did not know what was going on for Jack had never acted like that before. However, about 30 minute later he came back with a 22-mm gun and shot me in the back. His girlfriend and three other people rushed over to see if I were still alive. Someone called the police, but Jack managed to get away before they could arrive on the scene. He ran away for more than three days before he finally turned himself in to the police. It was pretty sad lying in an ambulance, going to the hospital in pain for something I did not even do. I felt angry and angry and strong at the same time. Did I cry? No, I did not because I wanted to act like a real man. The only thing I could think of was revenge. I wanted to sue Jack for accusing me of sleeping with his girlfriend and shooting me in the back. A few hours later, after I got out of the emergency room, I lay in the bed and thought about what had happened over and over. I decided to forgive him for his mistake. The reason I forgave him was because his parents called me. Shortly after, my parents also called. They were stating verses from the bible about how Jesus forgave others. As days went by, I finally realized that going after him was not worth it because we had been best friends at one point. From then on, that is when I truly forgave him with all my heart.
