In my case, which stops me from turning to the next page when a ad comes up is usually the artistic image weather it’s drawn, painted, or even photographed as long as it portrays some sort of meaning towards the ad. Also the style of the font can also catch my eye. Weather the font is small and elegant or big and boldly it can mostly grab my attention especially the color of the type. A couple of key points that advertisers keep when trying to attracted a reader would be to: make it stand out between other ads in the magazine, try to attract with bright colors, or certain colors, and has to be able to “work” meaning able to find info quickly. A couple of others would be to attract visually, and highlight in a constant matter differences such as it favors on the same styles in the line of the company, and convey the audience to whom the product is aimed at, and should also reflect the personality of the company and how it’s displayed.
