Why I Want To Become An Officer In The Army National Guard
... An Officer leads by example willing to personally undertake any task that is assigned to a soldier. I believe I possess these qualities. Although over the years I have accomplished many things both professionally and personally, I have come to realize that my dream of becoming an American soldier can open many more doors of opportunity for me. Due to many unforeseen circumstances it has also been an ongoing struggle. By taking advantage of the opportunities available to me through the armed forces I strive to become an individual who has developed a well-adjusted personality, good character traits, as well as, one who gains a sense of personal responsibility as an effective citizen in society. I believe a career as a commissioned officer in the Army National Guard will develop my capabilities of applying good judgment into my professional, personal, and social life. Utilizing my combined skills and experience obtained over the years will allow me to be competitive in the economy in addition to being an asset to the Army National Guard.
