If a child does not do their work then they will start to receive failing grades . Once a child starts to fail ,one who does not have the determination skills then they will probably end up dropping out of school. This is one reason why kids should participate in sports or after school activities. An adolescent who does not participate in sports or activities after school is more likely to do drugs and waste their life away. When kids have unsupervised free time they will get bored and more than likely experiment with drugs. For example, A child with nothing to do after school will probably stroll home , have nothing to do so he will call a friend and go get high in his garage off of some blue spray paint which is easily accessible in every home today. On the other hand, a child who does have a sport or activity will not stroll home but stay at school and do something productive which will give them goals that will help them succeed in the real world. Therefore, kids must have a sport or activity to participate in to stay off drugs and keep clean. While some kids without a sport or activity to participate in do drugs, others engage in pre- marital sex. Some people would say that pre- marital sex is better than doing drugs.
