Seth starts to hang out with Greg and Chris outside of J.T. Marlin. He sees everything that they have and wants to get to where they are at. Seth then can’t handle the job involvement in the casino since he is at J.T and decides to close the casino business because he knows that his dad would appreciate it since he didn’t like the business. Seth then closes his first account for Greg but Greg didn’t like it since he looked like he was doing too much by himself. Greg was upset on Seth organizational citizenship behavior for closing on his own and didn’t like Seth because he was learning about everything to fast. He then starts noticing that his colleagues are getting richer and his customers get poorer. He also starts wondering how the money goes around at J.P. He starts thinking about how everything is done at the boiler room and starts investigating on his own about J.T. Abby the secretary starts dating Seth and he tells Abby how J.T. is getting money and how they are ripping off the clients. Everyone has a conference again because no one was able to meet their needs but Seth. In this firm you need to be a Type A person to be effectiveness. He told everyone that everyone should be closing and there would always we a close, either you close or they close on you. Seth was talking with one of his client Harry that wanted out but Seth was applying his technical skills and was advising him to stay because he promised him that he would make money on the stock and Seth expectancy theory was to make money. One of his quotes that got Harry to stay in was, “How would you like to pay for your new house tomorrow?” Harry’s wife didn’t like anything about it and left Harry because he was buying stocks without her knowing it and losing money on it. Seth talks with his dad because he found out that J.T. Marlin is ripping people off and Seth’s emotions were that he was caring about what his dad was saying and wanted a way to exit. His dad was telling him that he ruined many people lives and it was worst than a casino because he was stealing and destroying people’s lives.
