Kent State Massacre
The Kent State massacre occurred at Kent State University, Ohio, and involved the shooting of students by the National Guard on May 4, 1970. Kent State Universitys Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC) building, an unstable, old, wooden military science barracks, was attacked and burned to the ground. ... Did the authorities stay away so the students would burn the building and create an excuse to bring the Ohio National Guard to Kent State? ...
