Graduation
...fast at the International House of Pancakes, we went to the Wet n’ Wild water park a few blocks away. After a day of fun in the sun, and a pretty good sunburn we went to our hotel for the evening. The next day we went to Islands of Adventure Universal Studios, and had a blast. I had never been to an amusement park that extravagant. It had everything I could imagine, from Dr. Seuss Land to Jurassic Park Island. It was amazing! When we left that night we headed to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida to spend the night on the beach, and go on a cruise the next day. When we arrived at our hotel we headed straight to the beach, where we spent hours playing in the waves and looking for sea shells. The next day we headed out about 4:00 a.m., to go through customs before we could board the luxury ship. The ship was amazing; it was like a floating hotel. When we boarded the ship, we headed straight to the dining room for a buffet breakfast. Then we were off, heading to Freeport, Bahamas. The morning had finally arrived for our graduation practice to begin. We came to school fully dressed with our proper clothing, and cap and gown on. It was very hot and tiring going through all of the procedures that we had to go through before graduating. First we had to be lined up according to size for our graduation photo, then we had to take personal photos, and finally we had to go through the entire ceremony. We had to practice marching in and out about fifteen times before we finally did it correctly. We had to go through all of the speeches songs, and handing out of the diplomas before we were excused for the day. It was not as dreamy as I had made it out to be. Finally, the day I had longed for since I was five years old was finally here. My graduation was tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Gym at the High School. As the seconds flew by, the butterflies in my stomach grew larger and larger. I arrived at the school at about 6:00 p.m. so that we could make some last minute preparations before the ceremony. There were many people there taking pictures...
