The movie also gives the viewer a different point of view to the story. In the written word the story is mostly told in first person. The movie version is more of a third person point of view. The third point of view made the themes clearer to the viewer and reader. Actually seeing the pain, fear, and madness in the faces of the characters helped the story express the theme. It was much easier to see that playing the role of woman instead of being an individual was causing Jane’s madness in the motion picture. Her illness was the only way she could find a way out of being the typical woman. It is evident that she dreams to be a writer, but her dreams are failing to become reality.
