In other words white women and men felt black women were the cause of all sexual acts between white and black men. I was wondering why black women were deemed sexually permissive and white women were labeled this angelic being that could not do any harm. I was thinking one of the reasons could have been because of the demeanor of the black woman’s body. I feel like both sexes saw the black woman as very appealing. Although rape was a tactic to change the psyche of the black woman I feel like she posed a threat to white women and was desirable to the white man in terms of companionship.
