That can be either race or income. The most famous are the ghettos in Europe where the Jews lived during the Holocaust. Those were terrible, kind of like the ones we have here in the United States. “ These streets remind me of quick sand....No need to cherish luxuries.... Even the life that you have is borrowed…Teenage women growing up with AIDS….Gun shots every night…Selling coke and weed.”; these are some of the descriptions that Akon uses in his song to describe the ghetto. Most ghettos’ are worst or better than the one described by Akon. The poorest ghetto is in South Bronx called Mott Haven. Drug dealers, prostitutes and dead body’s lurk on every corner. There are roaches and rats everywhere, including the beds. Also, children can’t play outside because of the fear of being shot in a drive by. People also contract STDS and AIDS very easily. Ghetto’s are sad places to live in, mostly because of the poor living conditions. Police and other govt. officials are afraid to visit the ghetto because they fear for their life. They also waste money on murals on the buildings rather than fixing them up. Akon also talked about the ghetto in his song “ Trouble Nobody”. In the ghetto, people do anything to survive and feed their children “Me an’ my niggas on the block all day – blocking dimes – looking out for the police. Cause this the Type of shit that we go through up in the ghetto just to make some cheese. The street type got me Getting locked up about 5-6 times a week. And than I make mon’ – take it from the profit of the Weed. All this just to feed my seeds (yeah....
