There openness really shocked me I had only been there for about an hour and a half and they were treating me like one of there own; I guess that is something that comes with the territory of being a fire fighter. One thing that really got me when I was interviewing Denise was The next person that I interviewed was Brian young and he had to be the most interesting person that I meet there. When I started to talk to him he was giving me just straightforward answers not going into any personal experience and seemed to have other things on his mind. At on point in time during the interview he must looked at the clock three or four times during a five-minute time span. Also my read on his body language was nervous, such as he would do things to try and cover his face like rub his forehead, scratch his chin. Now this came across to me kind of weird but I had later found out that he was relatively new at that station and was just settling in. After I had found that out it still was kind of a weird way to be settling himself in I mean that he could have do this in a different way. As we talked I must have hit home with something because I couldn’t get him to stop talking. I could tell that he really did enjoy what he was doing and would not want to be doing anything else. That is what I was truly surprised about was that all of theses guys were in generally a good mood. That was very comforting and made me not so nervous to be there, that was one thing I enjoyed was that every one was happy to be there. My final person that I talked to was one of the oldest people at that fire station and his name was Russ Muller, this man was full of knowledge and very willing to give out that knowledge. My conversation with him was very much a one sided I started him off and from there he had explained to me what it takes for the whole crew to go out and help. There was so many things that needed to get done that a person that dose not know about fire fighting would wonder when they have anytime to put out fires or help anyone in need.
