... with the catholic teaching. As I have grown older and become a parent my personal beliefs have changed somewhat. I now consider how something would affect my child before making a disision about something. My family is my most important thing in my life and my many of my desissions in life are made with their consideration in mind. I have never really given much thought to the purpose of my existence before. I don’t think that we are put on this earth for a particular purpose. Some people look for a deeper meaning in there life to prove that they have a destiny to fill but I do not have this beliefe. My personal values have been developed over my entire life by all of the diverse personal experiences that I have had. For instance, I had a rough home life growing up. My mother left when I was three years old and I was routinely removed from my fathers house by children services. From these experiences, I now have the beliefe that the children in a family are the most important aspect of the family. I feel that all should be done to provide for and encourage the children in a family. By returning to school I am setting a good example for my children. I would like to insill in them that it is important to get a good education behond the hisg school level. This is my personal philosophy and I want it to become part of my childrens personal philosophy. Future Goals I have many future goals that I would like to achieve. The obvious one is to complete my bachelors degree. This has been a goal of mine for many years and just now becoming obtainable. We will first start with my short term goals. One of my most important short term goals would be to complete the proseminar class with a passing grade. I am finding this class to be very challenging considering all of the reflective writing that is required. Other short term goals are to become more proficient in my writing ability and to become a better communicator. Many of my long term goals involve my career and family life. I would like to achieve my bachelor degree by the time I turn thirty years old. This will be a somewhat difficult goal considering that I only have a year and a half to do it in.
