...e that can distract you and it is the only way that i can seem to get anything done. As i begin writing i tune into the soothing rythems of the music and go into a sort of "alternate dimension," of thinking in which my writing genius shines through. After writing the outline i am very relieved to knw that i have a solid format for my whole essay which rids myself of some of the anxiety that i have towards essays. With each of the key points that i wish to cover, i begin thinking of ways to clearly expres my thoughts in rwriting which can be a very tedious task. Picking and choosing and scrapping ideas i try my best not to be so repetetive with the points i make even though i chronically have been known to repeats myself when the ideas stop coming. Repetition is good in papers but there are levels of repetition where you begin to become redundant which is a problem that has plagued me throughout my writing career. Over the years i have had many English teachers who have done quite poorly at guiding me through the writing process and giving me helpful information; all but on teacher by the name of Ms. Bruscato during my sophomore year of high school. This quite strict English teacher approached me one day and sat me down because she worried about my writing skills and wanted to giv me a few pointers which would later help me in all my writing. By reading my various papers that had already been turned in she could infer that a lot of my writing seemed rushed and poorly organized even though i had made solid attemptes at her analytical essays(a type of writing that has been a problem for me in the past). She then asked me,"Matt, you tend to procrastinate and leave things to the last minute don't you matt." I replied,"yes. I always seem to put off the initial start of a paper to 1 or two day before it is actually due," i said. She went on to tell me how the only way that i would eer become a successful writer was to find a way to rid myself of this anxiety that i have shown towards papers. She went on to tell me how she was once a kid like me and procrastinated on big assignments and papers too but that the only way she ever did well was just to simply get started and not to think about it too hard and let it make you nervous.
