When this happens they are assumed to be lazy and just don’t care but really it is because they aren’t learning properly. There was a student in the video who after hearing large chunks on information their brain became too full or overloaded and therefore could not take in any thing else and would basically shut down and become distracted. The doctor discovered this and helped her find other ways to take in that information so that she wouldn’t be lost. She found ways to stay organized and separate into categories the topics she was learning in class and sometimes used a tape recorder and listened to it afterwards.
