The Key to Effective Speech Writing
Although you may think writing a speech is difficult, Jane Tully gives us three easy steps that could be compared with or equivalent to hosting a dinner party. She has often considered herself he “verbal caterer”, being turned to for help with a speech used for a special occasion. She compares the speech to the party, the audience to the invited guests, and the speaker to the host of the party. Tully also explains that speech is like a meal; it is nourishing for thought.
A speech must be appropriate for the occasion.
