My future is in your hand

... I immigrated to Canada for seeking a better education environment. I can still remember the life for being new immigrants in a totally different world. At that time, everything here was strange to us. In my original country, our first language is not English. The language barrier was a solid wall in front of us that did not allow us to pass through it and adapt to the community. Nevertheless, we did not forgo. Our love and care for each other overcame all the hard nuts. We supported each other and back each other up during the most difficult time. Today, we survive and succeed. At the beginning, I felt that life in Canada was very boring and flat, it might because I didn’t have a lot of friends in here. In order to make life more interesting, I have developed two interests and hobbies to balance my life. I started to watch basketball games. Although Raptor is not the best team in NBA, it is still my favorite team because it belongs to our city, Toronto. Besides watching basketball, playing puzzle was also my favorite thing to do at home. I really enjoy the moment when putting the last piece into the puzzle; I felt successful. At first, I worked on 500 – 1000 pieces puzzle, but as time passed, I practice more and my skill developed. Now, I can deal with a puzzle with 2000 pieces. “Education is the first step to success.” My mother always reminds me of that. My parents always have high expectation on my sister, brother and me. They demand a lot from us. Honestly, I do feel a lot of pressure. I prepare to go into the university and continue my education journey. I have chosen being an accountant as my future career.
