The critique of the essays

The author’s main purpose is to translate his idea to the readers clearly. And the readers can understand what the author’s want to say. Effectiveness of explanations Each essay should be adapted to a particular receiver. But authors must write more effectively to people they know; and more they know about them, the better the essays can be. The two essays do this wonderful. The essays are for those people who want to know the knowledge about communication for business and the professions and communication skills. The author used some pictures and tables to finish the essays. And there are many examples. We can learn something through the examples. We can see the theory directly in these pictures and tables. Convincing nature of work After analyzing the two essays, we can find out that there are many accurate facts. For example: “as a part of its successful campaign to improve quality, Ford Motor Company launched a major effort in 1979 to change its culture to being more participative and employee-oriented.” The author used this example to explain his theory. And the theory joined up with the case, it is easy to understand for the audience. The essay said: “Epson, the world’s leading maker of printers for personal computers, has instituted a new and bizarre-sounding method of developing new products.” And “ Honeywell, Xerox, General Motors, and Westinghouse, among others, have publicly committed themselves to using a more participative approach to organizing and managing people.” The author used these examples, which we know about them to be the sufficient evidence for the arguments. But there are also some disadvantages in the essays. For example, in page 42 the author wrote the topic “Management Theory in Perspective”. The main point of the first paragraph is let us to know that many organizations meet their goals without effective management. But in the next paragraph the author didn’t use the facts to improve his point, instead of an untrue film. The film doesn’t have the ability to provide the author’s idea. The arguments of the two essays all support the main point. Although there are some disadvantage in the essays, but it is focus on the author’s main point. Limitations of the essays Essays need unity to be coherent. Ideas in a coherent essay are understandable and connect logically. Coherence is easily destroyed, though; one improperly chosen word can prevent a reader from understanding an entire sentence. In the first glance, the two reading have not argument logical because of it not have unity of writing, and abundant suggestion fill into the reading of content leading to the reader can not hold on what the mainly writer’s purpose. In the every reading, some important terms often clearly defined. The every term can focus on the writer’s discussion of main point, but these theories have sufficient of writing in the paragraph. Readers, however, expect more of writers. While they also expect information of relevance and worth. Thus, in the reading one the reading tone and register suit the writer and the reader’s purpose that let readers knows the business manager communication skills. However, these readings have the limitations because of he only suit the business man but not considering normal wants communicator. In chapter 2, the communication in organizations is the text well organized, clear, and easy to read. Because of the writer firstly generally introduce some importantly authority theories about management in term of giving reader of basis managerial structure. And then, our writer offers us which the practical guidelines for effective management. In generally, the article of organizing presents well clear to readers. Contributions to understanding of business communication The essays can help us to understand the subject business communication better. Although the essays don’t contain all knowledge of the subject, we can know the importance of business communication. The essays said: “Situational factors will greatly influence the success of any given style of leadership.” This sentence evokes a strong response from me. The idea situation is one in which the leader has high position power and a clearly structured task and is able to maintain good social relations with other group members. The reason why I say like this is that I will face kinds of problems they have different idea situations. How to improve writing essays Writing is a good way in which to send complex or detailed information that requires careful study; a reader has time to reflect on written essays.
