... He was always a lot better than me. After we played basketball we ate some bologna sandwiches for lunch. After we ate, we decided to swim. We went and asked my parents if we could swim and they said yes, but to change first. My mom was telling my aunt bye and figured she would be back to the pool by the time we were done changing. As we were walking to go change, my mom asked my friend if he could swim, and he answered yes. When I was changing and getting our towels, he knocked on the door and said he was going to go ahead and go outside. After I got my bathing suit on and our towels out, I went out to the pool. I looked in the pool and he was lying motionless at the bottom of the deep-end. I thought he was joking around at first until I watched for about five or ten seconds and he didn’t move. I yelled for help and dove into the pool to get him. I grabbed him by the waist and pulled him up out of the water but couldn’t get him out of the pool.
