These patients either lacked the perception of space, size, height or distance, but they could certainly depict a world filled with brightness, light, color and magnificence, a world that we as longstanding viewers have taken for granted and are ironically blind to. With their newfound vision also came the frustrations to use it. Many patients took comfort in their blindness to alleviate the overwhelming displays of sight and the confusion it created.
