Also, The main characters of this movie like Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, Puss in boots and many other fabulous characters gained unbelievable popularity because of the excellent animations and voices dubbed by many famous actors like Mike Myers (Shrek’s voice), Eddie Murphy( Donkey’s voice), Cameron Diaz(Princess Fiona’s voice) and Antonio Banderas ( Puss in boot’s voice). In addition, this movie was nominated for many awards like Golden Palm, Golden Trail and Teen Choice Award for Best Animation/Comedy movie. Second, before we go any further, let me give you a brief explanation of the first part in the Shrek series. In first part they have described the fairytale of an Oger(Shrek) who lived in the swamp. Then one day the king of the “Far far away kingdom” asks him to go and rescue a sleeping princess (Fiona) so that the king could marry her. But while rescuing, Shrek and Princess Fiona fall in love and then they marry each other and the movie ends happily ever after. Now begins the second part when Fiona decides that it is time to return home (to Far, Far Away) to get Shrek to meet her parents. Despite him thinking it is just one big bad idea, Shrek agrees but is proved right when the sight of two ogres is greeted with fear and dislike by the people and the Royals. Things get more complicated when the Fairy Godmother gets involved to help push Shrek out and get her son, Prince Charming, into Fiona's heart with the help of the King and some magic. Will true love out? It sure does and that’s the main message hidden in the story; that no matter how many hardships come in the life, true love always pays off and succeeds. Finally, there are many reasons why this movie was much better than the previous part in the series. First, there were some great new additions in the cast specially the hilarious Puss in boot character which fitted perfectly in its place and didn’t affect the funniness of the talking Donkey. Second, there were some tragedy twists introduced in the story which made it interesting even for adults as compared to the old one which was only full of fairytale laughter.
