President George W. Bush said about abortion, “Every child, born and unborn, ought to be protected in law and welcomed into life.” With that said, Republicans are considered to be pro-life and would only support an abortion under severe circumstances. President Bush delivered the greatest tax reduction in a generation, and the results are clear to see. Businesses are creating jobs. People are returning to work. Mortgage rates are low, and home ownership in America is at an all-time high. The Bush tax cuts are working. (www.issues2000.org/2004) Republicans, unlike Democrats, feel that America should protect itself before harm is done rather than after the fact; therefore, Republicans support and agree with the efforts being put forth in Iraq and other Middle-Eastern countries. Democrats are thought of as being the liberal group. They believe in a large government. They think that the government has the right to control or regulate people’s lives. Democrats have a loose interpretation of the Constitution and think that America’s founding fathers did not really mean what they said when they guaranteed certain Constitutional rights. The Democratic Party believes that America should be a place where everything is fair and equal to every person regardless of race, gender, religion, or sexuality.
