This authority can either be a leader like Ataturk, or a group like the Communist party in Soviet Russia. Despite the fact that it does not seem to be a modern way of government regarding today’s conditions and the perspective towards human rights, dictatorship can be very useful in avoiding corruption and power can be used more efficiently, without any conflict between authorities. Democracy seems to be more favorable than dictatorship in today’s world as the concepts of human rights and laws have been very popular since the French Revolution. These concepts are not the bases of dictatorships, but also they do not have the importance they deserve in democracies. When needed, democratic governors do not hesitate in sacrificing human rights and ignoring laws. This evidence shows that democracies do not offer people what they expected to get, full respect for human rights and laws. Practical application of democracy in the real world is not so different to dictatorship concerning human rights and laws. Democracy is an illusion to beguile people and cover the evidence behind the scenes which does not fit into the idea of democracy. It is obvious that sympathy towards democracy is a product of democrats who cover the rear evidence of what happens in the name of “democracy”. Dictatorships are seen as evil, and there are acceptable reasons for that point of view. In history, most of the dictators ignored their people’s needs and just concerned themselves with the greatness of their state. They tried to fill all the gaps in the state treasury with gold and silver, but they forgot to provide better rations for their people. While the states were rich and strong, the majority of the folk were poor and fragile. The reason for this injustice must be seen as the dictators, not the idea of dictatorship. Some dictators, like Ataturk and Castro, were able to balance the ratio between the greatness of the state and the folk. And these methods not only made people happy and love these leaders, but also made the states stronger and richer. The bad dictatorships were a result of leaders with narrow vision; they were not problems about the idea of dictatorship. The most effective factor that made democracy popular is people’s right to select their leader, which creates the majority of the problems that democracies have. In theory it seems like a good idea to have the right to change the leader if the leader can not satisfy the people. But this system does not fit with the facts of the real world. In almost every democratic regime, the governors use most of their effort to satisfy the ambitions of their electors. This is a natural, unavoidable result of human nature as people always try to keep what they own. When a new leader is selected, first he directs his power to keep the votes he gained in the last election and then he tries to convince more people to vote for him.
