... her share of school visits. Both bad and good. She would always manage to be there for all of us. I remember on Halloween she would make our costume: and back then that was the most exciting time of my life. She always made each one of us feel special in our on special way. She understood us so much that she could predict our next step in life. But like anyone she had her own personal problems. This was the side that we didn’t see or understand till we got older. She had a mother and a father to take care of. And she did manage. She also would watch over her father in law and, that was a handful. Trying not to step over boundaries with my father’s side while taking care of her father-in-law. It was hard on her. I remember arguments between her and my dad. Not once did she ever take it out on us. As for as I can remember we were always her 1st priority. It seemed as things feel apart for her or my dad. I remember her being happy around us, making us little picnics so we can eat outside on our picnic table. Cutting up watermelon so we can eat outside while we splash around in the water on those hot summer days. Having the house cleaned and dinner ready by 6:30p.m. So when my father came home it was all done. I also remember those nights where the living room light would still be on and she would still be awake. At that time I never understood why. But time seemed to fly by. Before I knew it, I graduated High school and signed to join the army. Back then it was the smartest thing I thought I did. But little did I know.
