Envy Vs Jealousy
... it will eventually fall apart. Jealousy often involves being in love, or having love for someone. Every person can admit that at one point in their life they have gotten jealous over something. There are many emotion involved with jealousy, but anger is the most dominant. Envy on the other hand is not limited to ones spouse, or girlfriend. Envy can come from ones friends, family, or even people we do not know. Here’s one example of envy, if you’re a high school student, and you have a nice car, and a hot girlfriend. There might be someone who would be envious of you because they do not have what you got. Another example would be if there were two bothers, and they both went to buy new shoes with their mom. The older bother gets the nicer more expensive shoes because he is older. The younger bother would be envious at his older bother for getting nicer shoes. We see envy everyday in our lives at home, and at work. One example of work envy would be; if you worked at a retail store for five years trying to become a manager, and all of the sudden a new hire that’s been there for three months gets the position.
