The internet is one of those things that has come about in the last fifteen years. There have been huge advances and long lasting impressions made with electronic mail, and instant messenger. This is an entire other way for people to communicate. This is a very great idea; however, many of today’s teens would rather been the internet then go out for the day with their families. The internet is one of the most important tools in today’s society, but the limits are endless and for a young teen it is a way of communicating without actually having to communicate. Through email and instant messenger, one can write something out on the computer without actually having to face, or talk to the person, and a lot of time this alters their outlook on confrontation, and alters their ways of communicating orally to people. It makes people more timid and not willing to communicate in the most important way which is face to face. Things like Bill Clintons affair, Britney Spears, and Jerry Springer, put ideas into teenagers minds that it is normal to just cheat on a spouse, to get married and divorced in one day, and never mind the kinds of situations on the Jerry Springer show.
