...n Frost was eleven, his father died of tuberculosis. His family then moved back to his father hometown Salem, New Hampshire on a farm. Frost was then home- schooled. He attended high school in the year of 1892. Frost became a serious student as an editor of the school newspaper. There he wrote his first poem, which appeared in the school newspaper “La Noche’ Triste”. It was about the bravery of Aztecs against the invasion of Cortes. He also met his high school sweetheart Eleanor White. In the fall of 1892, Frost entered Dartmouth College but only stayed one semester. He also attended Harvard but did not get a degree. A year later he marries his high school sweetheart. Their first son Elliott was born September 25, 1896. A couple years later Frost then had his second child Lesley on April 28. At that time he insisted that his mother see a doctor, and learns that she has advanced cancer. In 1900 his son Elliott dies of cholera on July 8. Frost wife than began to suffer depression.
