The panacea for all of these ills and many more lies in the hands of scientific research. Aids requires a cheap and efficient vaccine, more food needs to be produced through better quality seed and fertilizer, these solutions can only be possible through research and innovation. surely we would prefer projects promising green revolutions rather than those that promise nuclear holocausts. Another reason for my view, is that we as humans have not accepted each other as equals, whether its the religious disputes of the Middle East or the ethnic disputes of Turkey, the underlying reason is that of total disregard and mistrust of the opposition. With mindsets like these we can not realize the global nature of our problems. But spoonfeeding ideas of humanity and brotherhood wont make a difference when it comes to individuals who have been raised in a paranoid atmosphere, that suspects everything foreign.
