This response that different people get when they look at a man made object that they feel is beautiful or interesting is an innate feeling that everyone has. This feeling, although innate, also has learned components. People who have studied art all their life may find more intricate works to be more brilliant than simple ones, but it doesn’t make the simple pieces any less artful because there must be someone who finds these pieces to be aesthetically pleasing. An object is still art even if the only person who find the drawing or the sculpture pleasing is the artist himself.
