...ook happens with Snowball and Napoleon. Snowball betrayed Napoleon by joining the exact opposite sides. Napoleon also betrayed the animals by changing the 7 commandments so he wouldn’t get in trouble for breaking them. The book is supposed to be a mirror-image of Russia. “George Orwell” was and English writer who hated all of the authoritive aspects of the government the in Russia, so he decided to write a book about it. My opinion on this book is that the betrayal between Napoleon and the other animals was more significant than the book portrayed it as because if Napoleon hadn’t done that than the animal wouldn’t have “revolted” like they did. Napoleon betrayed snowball because they agreed to rule the farm together. However, Napoleon didn’t like how snowball made a windmill. I also think that Napoleon betrayed the animals. He betrayed the animals because when he didn’t fallow the commandments, he changed them so he didn’t break them. For example, when Napoleon killed animals, he changed a commandment from “No animal shall kill another animal.” to “No animal shall kill another animal without cause.” In conclusion, the book portrays Russia. It portrays Russia because it shows dictatorship and betrayal like Russia had. “George Orwell” wanted to portray Russia as a horrible place.
