...akes it look like an ancient taboo. This unknown sculpture has been made using paint on wood with hard edges on the sculpture to help the look of its age. The medium has been used somewhat roughly but to give the effect the Chapman brothers wanted it needs the rough look. The artwork was produced inside a studio. Exact implements used are unknown however by the look of the object things such as round and square tipped paint brushes may have been used as well as engravers, chisel and hammers for the sculpting of the wood. The artwork has been composed by using appropriation. The centre of interest has been established by creating an emphasis on a particular part of the work by placing it near the centre of the work. The artwork is asymmetrical balanced. The Chapman brothers not balanced this artwork it appropriates both consumer societies favourite fast food but also appropriates ancient taboos. This artwork, being a sculpture is a three dimensional object. The colours that have been used are dull helping give the aged appearance wanted by the brothers.
