Instead, "big tobacco's" money should go to some type of research to help find a cure for some of the diseases that they have contributed to making such an epidemic among their customers and others who have gotten sick from the second hand effects of tobacco. Tobacco should be taken off the market completely as it addicts more and more everyday that it is on the market. This drug is addictive and causes lots and lots of health problems. For years and years "big tobacco" could say that they did not know of tobacco caused health problems. Now "big tobacco" knows that tobacco causes many health problems and they still market it. They market their product by calling kids replacement smokers. That means that people under the age of 18 are supposed to replace the 1200 smokers who die every day. Knowing that big tobacco looks at smokers this way, it seems as though consumers would not want to support funds that think of them as just another life to hook and kill. "Big tobacco" is only in the tobacco business for the money, and not for conserving lives. Because of this, tobacco should be taken off the market. Although "big tobacco" produces and markets the product, the consumer spends the money buying it. Because the consumer is aware of what is in the product, the consumer should also have to pay to get themselves "un-addicted." I think that it would be very hard to stop smoking after becoming addicted to it, but beginning smoking was that persons fault and they should have to pay, literally. The way that "big tobacco" should pay is that all their profits from the sale of tobacco should go to helping find cures for all the different diseases that they have made an epidemic.
