Snow skiing is by far the biggest attraction to Breckenridge, from snowboarders to skiers the mountain fills up everyday. The snow conditions in this mountain range have a very high snow fall average, with more than 300 inches each year. This makes for Colorado’s longest “ski season” (November thru July). When comparing the ski resort mountain of Breckenridge to Vail’s you see many similarities; both around 2000 ski able acres, they have 3400 feet vertical drop (from base to peak), and total number of ski lifts.
