The woman has her hair up; this is so that the reader is only focused on the woman’s face without any other distractions. Too much clutter in an ad may draw attention away from the product trying to be sold. The woman is smiling with a happy and carefree look; this is for the reader to believe that this woman is happy with herself. Readers believe that the woman is wearing makeup and looking beautiful while clearing blemishes and preventing breakouts. Wearing makeup clogs pores; clogged pores cause blemishes and breakouts.
