...s completely differently than someone living in Iowa, but should there really be any argument on what to do with a felon’s sentence? One of the basic ideas of the federalist system is that no state laws may override the corresponding federal law. Although this may give the people more say in government, it does tend to separate the states, as opposed to unifying them. The states should maintain some certain laws, based on what is best for specific communities, but there should be some concrete federal laws that every state should abide by. Only 37 of the 50 states agree with, and have, the death penalty. Why is that? So if some guy goes around the state of Nevada on a killing spree, he will be sentenced to death, but if he does the same in Minnesota, he only gets life in prison. ...
