...vard, but quit after two years because of his disdain for a rigorous acedemic work schedule. Ironically, his grandfather gave him a farm in Derry where Frost and his family would live for the next 12 years. Aside from farming, he studied Greek and Latin poets as well as Shakespeare. Frost also taught at Pinkerton Academy until he sold the farm in 1912 and moved to England hoping to achieve literary fame. Success was found in 1913 when A Boy's Will and 1914 when North of Boston were published and recieved much accolade. Frost moved back to Massachuesettes at the beginning of World War I where he became highly sought after as a professor and as a speaker. Amherst College gave him his own position entitled poet-in-residence. He also taught at Dartmouth , Harvard, Michigan, and Yale....
