I Am An Artist

...e hallways and several rooms were painted with murals that he himself had painted. . I loved the flow of organic line and earth tones he used. This would later prove to be something I liked within my own work and designs. The next influence on me would be Thomas Kinkade. Although I don’t completely like where he has taken his work, I still like what he paints. The second painting I started was like one of his. I am still working on it to this day but it is of the Canadian Rockies surrounding a wooded lake on a clear day in spring. Through this painting I started into photography to help me capture more scenes for painting and future works. Though I really have no great influence for photography, I feel that I am always out for the right picture to tell a story. Most, if not all, of my photos are of nature and for some reason I like to take nature photos. In some way I guess you can say that Kinkade has influenced what I take photos of. I have hiked for three hours just to get a picture of a green mountain valley and then didn’t like the way the picture turned out and did it all again. I have also started using some of my photos in my fantasy art similar to what Vallejo, Bell, and Frazetta do. Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell are two of the most unbelievable artist I have seen.
