His passion was too potent, too powerful, too real, to be abandoned in the dull pains of everyday life. Yet lonliness and solitude had overcome him, breaking his limits and weakening his soul. And thus, among these people he struggled, fighting off despair with every bloody grasp ahead. Crawling, pulling desperately ahead. "Where are you going?" A fair haired child looked down at him, clutching onto his mothers hand. His face was blank, devoid of emotion, devoid of hope. The child tightened his grip, clenching the pale, cold fleshless hand of the woman, who had now paused to wait. "Why won't you walk with us?" He questioned. "Why are you so stupid? Why are you so foolish? We will reach our goals, we will be humans, my mother and I, we will live in this world and be happy. Your dreams will take you nowhere. When you leave them behind, you can join us. Join us, and be happy." It was so quiet, the voice of this child. Almost gentle, but the words were far too harsh. The young man mustered up the strength to raise his head to this little boy. And he smiled. A smile, a gift, for it was something that child would never truly see ever again. And the boy sneered. Abruptly turning his head forward, he strutted ahead, tugging hard at his mother as she stumbled behind. "My dreams..." The young man sank down into the ground, gritting his teeth to keep back tears. His goal was still so far away, his destiny would still be miles ahead. Hands reached out from passerbys, only now noticing him stretched out beneath the reams of people. Come with us. You are sad.
