My Speech on Lying and the Liars that Tell These Lies

...ou did! You definitely hid it away in the back of your closet underneath the piles of dirty laundry, only having to dig it out again when Aunt Betty came for Sunday dinner. Our parents are the ones teaching us how to lie! They want to keep their embarrassment to a minimum, reducing the “Eww, you expect me to wear this?” comments coming from their child’s mouth. These are things we usually find ourselves doing for the sake of maintaining a good relationship with people, consoling ourselves by saying that 'Surely it's not wrong as long as it doesn't hurt the person'. Males and females alike tell little ‘protective’ lies to each other all the time. A very good example is when a woman says, “Baby, does this dress make me look fat?” First of all, girls, why would you even ask such a question? Do you really need your man to answer this question with the answer you already know you are going to get? “Oh honey, of course not! You look amazing!” is how he replies, and you knew this is exactly what he was going to say anyways. He might be lying, or he might not, but you’ll never know.
