Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost Summary: In Milton’s first narration, he talks about man’s first disobedience to god, which led to the loss of paradise eternal. He talks about how everything happening in the world are within gods power and that god can doing whatever he wants as he wills it. He mentions of pre-lonsarian Eden where god gave a free reign to man in everything save one, which is the forbidden fruit. He debates as to what made man revolt against his single wish and so on. He then talks about the rebel angels who banded together to over throw god only to be cast down to the depths of hell as punishment. In Satan’s first dialogue, he talks about how many angels flew to him to be under his banner when he assaulted god’s realm to take control of it. He then talks about how now all those who joined him shared not in power but punishment for his treasonous act to god and all share the same fate as he to be eternally damned in the fiery pits of hell.
