Segregation in schools

... invented. Every child and every student have come to see this as the cultural norm. So if there was a large scale change, the students would be just as distracted because it would be awkward for them to not have the opposite sex around. If you placed them in an abnormal learning environment like that, that’s probably what they’d focus on. Many would begin to ask why the change was made and they would start thinking about why the school board felt the need to make the change more than focusing on school work (at least until they got used to it). Canada’s education system is excellent. National test scores prove that Canada, in comparison to other top scoring countries, is scoring relatively high. Resent test scores also prove that the scores are getting better. Students will get distracted easily in school either way. Taking girls away from boys would just be a big waste of time for everyone. It would also probably be a waste of money for schools. The system has worked fine for this long, why change it now? If children were split up from each other by sex, the students would feel like they were being punished for something. This would lead to rowdy, angry boys and fussy, frustrated girls.
