I would advise entrepreneurs to set guidelines such as the ones above that give ther employees the freedom to make their own decisions. This way their employees feel more independent and therefore responsible for their own actions. Goals have played a large role in the success of Bass Pro Shops. Johnny Morris wanted excitement and entertainment, and he created it with waterfalls, aquariums, fascinating displays, and more. His strategy is for no customer to have a dull moment, and as it’s turned out, no customer does. His company has grown forma small corner to a dominating chain. 2. To be successful in this industry, strategies need to be innovative, creative, and somewhat daring. They need to go above and beyond the strategies of competitors, and they need to create an image that is so enticing that customers will want to travel the miles to check out what “all the buzz” is about. 3. Johnny Morris’s statement shows that he is very conscious and aware of the downfalls that can come to any successful organization that is still in the process of growing. As much s his company would like and could probably afford to just all of a sudden become huge, it’s not realistic and could possibly cause the quality to fall which is one of their most important strategies. Ace Wire and Super Clip 1. I don’t think that Linda did enough research on her invention before getting a patent. She didn’t consider the possible competition that could arise once her product got out there. 2. Goals and strategies may have helped the problems, but I don’t think they would have been a guaranteed prevention.
