Working women are more prone to stress since they find it hard to balance their career and home front. Women are often paid less than men and often have to work twice as hard to prove themselves. Statistics show that women are significantly more likely to report burnout, stress-related illnesses or a desire to resign from their jobs. I’m sure that all of u agree that this issue of STRESS has to be properly addressed. Organisations that ignore of stress may experience problems with § high sickness rates, § poor job performance. This will ultimately prove costly to the organisation as well as the individual. How it affects Because stress is so widespread, it has a very high cost for individuals, companies and organizations, and for society. For the individual, the devastating impact of the serious health impairments, difficulty coping with work and social situations, loss of career opportunities and even employment. It can give rise to greater strain in family relationships and with friends. It may even ultimately result in depression, death or suicide. For the company or organization, the costs of stress take many forms. These include absenteeism, higher medical costs and staff turnover, with the associated cost of recruiting and training new workers, reduced productivity and efficiency.
