I believe Nora’s decision to leave Torvald was best for her at this time. She needed some time to sort out her life. Torvald and Nora seemed to work well together; on the surface of their relationship. That was until their real feelings were revealed and everything went to shambles. Although my thoughts on leaving the children are quite the opposite; I feel that as a mother you have a duty to look after your children and Nora’s decision has made her less of a mother in my mind. I feel that Nora thinks that the worst is over and that she thinks she has come out on top but in reality I think that being on her own without Torvald will be her biggest battle of all.
