During game one, I knew there would be more than just three games, and I was determined not to let my team down. The whole team was still pumped about being out of town playing in a tournament. With everyone’s adrenaline we took it to the other team from beginning whistle to end. With my determination and also my teammates, we came out on top with a 3-0 win. Then came games two and three; things didn’t exactly go our way, but that didn’t hold us back from advancing our way to the semi’s. Game two was indeed a fight… a fight that unfortunately went to the other team. But determination came over the team and encouragement led to another win. After an exciting win we all picnicked by the coach’s truck until hearing the stupendous news that we got the wildcard and would be playing in a few hours for the semi-final game. The championships were very intense and nail biting. During the first half we played our hearts out and ended the first half in a tie, when the game whistle was blown the game was still in a tie; therefore we went into over time. The first half was a well given fight from both teams. The second half seemed as it lasted for hours as both teams fought for a victory. We ended up going into double overtime; the game was still tied, so we ended up going into penalty kicks. Overtime is only 10 minutes and we weren’t ready to give up just yet, and one overtime wasn’t going to cut it. We played two overtimes, and with one hundred and ten minutes of soccer already played we headed into PK’s. It was my first time ever doing PK’s. As the referee explained the rules to me and the other goalkeeper, the other goalie cried and trembled with fear. Then there was me… I stood there as confident as ever with a “bring it on, I’m not scared!” look and stance. As the PK’s were ending the game was still...
